Silver Rainfall
Coming back from a friend's, such handsome rain, so took a little detour up to Slate Canyon for a walk and a view.

A few days ago (not the day of these photos, some days later) it was suddenly dark through the window, and I received some lightning notifications, so knew some splendid storm must be passing through. I missed it, though, because I wanted to get a task done and over with—one of those things where you tell yourself it'll just take a minute! It took an hour. My thinking was that it wouldn't take long, and I wanted to free my mind of it, enjoy the spectacle carefree.

Did I do the 'wrong' thing? would stopping the task to watch the storm have been 'right'? In hindsight, it is what I wish I'd have done. But I suppose as easily things could have turned out such that waiting an hour I happened to witness, I don't know, sunlight streaming majestically or some great crack of lightning.

I suppose it's like that story people tell about the farmer who loses a horse :( but that leads to gaining seven :) but that leads to a son's broken leg :( but that leads to the son staying home from war :). Life just is. I'm glad I saw this rain.
